Jennifer Lopez took the stage in pouring rain Sunday in Recife, Brazil for the last night of her "Dance Again" tour. The soaking wet 42-year-old singer showed off her amazing six-pack abs in a sparkly gold bra top and drop-crotch sequined pants.
The ad campaign for Balenciaga’s new Florabotanica fragrance features the 22 year-old “On the Road” and “Twilight” actress in a structured floral dress, standing straight at the camera.
She originally thought would be playing the coy seductress -- but that wasn’t what Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière had in mind.
”When I first stood there, I was like, ‘OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?’ And they were like, ‘Just be comfortable.’”
The fragrance contains notes of vetiver, amber and caladium-leaf accord, a (hybrid) rose, carnation and mint accord, according to Women’s Wear Daily.
“There is something natural about it,” she said. “It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’”
Ghesquière told WWD that he had Stewart on his radar long before she became the highest paid actress in Hollywood, according to Forbes.
He said he was impressed with her as early as 2002, when she played Jodie Foster’s daughter in the suspense film “Panic Room.”
“I remember thinking, ‘Wow, I would like to do something with her one day,” he said. “She’s so Balenciaga.”
Back in January, when she was chosen to be the face of the new fragrance, she dubbed the Spanish house “just cool.”
“Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga, she said. “I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived.”
